The Tabitha Foundation is a non-profit, non-denominational Christian organisation, respecting all faiths, seeking to help the suffering in various nations. The aim is to reach out to the despairing in their communities and enable them to address their needs in a holistic and sustainable way, thereby transforming their lives to fruitfulness, dignity and beauty.

Tabitha’s current programs affect 1% of Cambodians; presently over 267,000 people in eleven provinces of the country. Over the 14 years of its operation, Tabitha has lifted more than half a million Cambodians out of poverty and despair, into lives of dignity, hope and active participation in their communities.

TESTIMONIALS
My name is Sothea and I am living with AIDs. Before I started work with Tabitha, I had lost my husband, my children were taken away from me by family members, and I couldn’t find a place to live bec ause of the stigma attached to AIDS. Since working with Tabitha, I now am able to rent a room and have brought my children home to live with me and send them to school. Most importantly, through the community of workers at Tabitha, I have regained my sense of value as an individual.

My name is Chanthou and I have been with Tabitha for the last seven years. I was a street worker and had a very difficult home life. I was living with a man who had other women. He would visit me long enough to beat me severely, take all my money and leave me pregnant. Then he would disappear for six months. Since beginning sewing with Tabitha I have earnt enough money to have a small home and farming plot, to put my children through school, and to divorce my husband. In Tabitha I have found a new community and sense of who I am.
